September Round Up

The kids love to head outside and make their own picnics on Sunday afternoons.  They get everything ready themselves and (mostly) clean everything up.

I've been writing songs for about a year now with a good friend, Tanya.  We performed our first fireside ever on September 2.  Numbers were a bit sparse, but it went really well.

The kids and I canned some peaches.  Everyone loves the peaches!

We hosted a few outdoor movie nights.  Besides the uninvited mosquitoes, we had a blast.

Cloudburst was invited to record on a Primary CD produced by Kamie Bolen as part of a children's choir.  It is a CD with the primary songs for 2013.

Apparently, Sunrise was very tired.

We also canned the many tomatoes from the garden into spaghetti sauce!  Yummmm.

Tornado continues to do gymnastics.  He is on a Level 3 team, but we'll see how long he wants to continue.

Cloudburst played volleyball again, and was greatly improved from last year.  She had a fun time.

My cousin Anna visited again and Cloudburst got another fun hairdo!

We redecorated Sunshine's bedroom in, what else? A football theme of course.

Cabin trip

We took another quick trip up to the cabin with a fun family from our neighborhood.  They have kids the same ages as our kids, including a girl Cloudburst's age (a must!).  We had fun out on the pond, and building a few things in the new garage.

Labor Day Weekend

Over Labor Day, we took advantage of the day off of school and headed up to the Cabin for a few days.  We invited some of our neighbors to come up and the kids all had a great time playing together.  We took a hike on Moose Trail.  We missed Moose Poop Loop.  Oh well, maybe next time.

September Football

We had a great September for football.  We had games every Saturday, and continued practice every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.  We won every game and even had a Family Night for all the families.  We got in a great rhythm and we felt really confident heading into the post-season in October.  Sunshine really bonded with his team mates and they all became great buddies.

I have continued co- writing and arranging songs.  One song has choir parts so I recorded my first choir!

Utah can be really beautiful.  I may or may not have taken this picture behind the driver's wheel.

I was invited to record a small part on a friend's CD, and she also asked if I had a child who could come say the pledge of allegiance.  Tornado did it perfectly!

And... yeah. Here are my boys.

We had a couple kids learn how to mow the lawn.

They decided that Dad should still do it.

And Sunrise started a little gym class.  All the little 3 year olds are just so cute!

First Daze of School

This year has really flown by.  I can't believe I have a 4th grader, a 2nd grader and a kindergartner.  I have THREE kids in school???

Sunrise also started preschool at my wonderful and talented neighbor's house.  So I now have two days with a few hours of free time.  I don't know if I should laugh or cry?
